Sarnia Ladies Sting Mitchell
The Tru-Country and Garden Novice 1 girls team travelled to Sarnia last weekend for a double header against the Sarnia Ladies Sting.

The first game was action packed with the team coming together to play their best first period of the year as stated by coach Rob. The Sarnia Ladies sting came to play, and they did! Scoring five goals to Mitchell's one goal contribution. Resulting in a loss, 5-1.

With the girls fed, happy and rested they came back to the arena for more. The second game continued to be a challenge for Mitchell. With great end-to-end action the novice girls kept their fans on the edge of their seats cheering them on. The girls were able to keep pace with the Ladies Sting through to the last five minutes of play when the Sarnia team turned it on the score two more goals than us. It was a close game right to the end resulting in a loss, 8-6.

Mitchell braced itself to host the Lady Sarnia Sting the following weekend on home ice. This proved to be an advantage, along with a tough mid-week practice. Mitchell lit the fire and fended off the Lady Sarnia Sting team throughout the game. Strong offensive plays resulted in Mitchell netting four goals, while allowing only one against. A well deserved, hard fought win for Mitchell with a final score of 4 to 1.
