Novice Girls split a Pair
The Novice girls continue their regular hockey season with one win and a close loss this past week.

Hosting BCH last weekend Mitchell came on strong in the first period with a three goal lead. Sadie weaved her way through BCH's defense to shoot on the net, catching the rebound was Cydeny to score. Minutes later Sadie worked her magic again to score, assisted by Alia. Alia followed suit to score one of her own, breaking in from the defensive blue line, assisted by Lauren.
BCH rallied back in the second period to score two of their own, making it a close 3-2 game. Keeping the fans on their feet Mitchell added another goal by Shawni, assisted by Sadie and Brooklyn to tie the game up. Moving into the third period Mitchell battled hard, but for most of the period was unable to get it past the strong BCH goalie. With three minutes left in the game Sadie scored the final marker, assisted by Brooklyn and Josie.

The following weekend Mitchell hosted the Sarnia Sting to their home ice. It was an even battle for the puck, but Mitchell stepped up to the challenge. Holding their own defensively allowing only four goals against the whole game. Mitchell was not able to score the first two periods, but turned it up for the third. Scoring a total of three goals on the scoreboard by Sadie, assists to Claire, Josie and Jordyn. A close loss 4-3.
