Shut Out!!
The Novice 1 girls have recorded their first-shut out of the season this past Saturday in Mitchell.
It was a solid team effort to contribute to the win. Effective passing, and picking up passes as well as defense "going-in" for the shot had the St.Marys team scrambling to keep up.
Mitchell set the pace the first period with a total of 5 goals. Brooklyn proved her goalie strength her first turn in net. First period goals by Sadie, both Lauren and Ally contributed one. Assists got to Josie (2), Cydney (1), Alia (1), Charlie (1), Shawni (1), Alexis (1).
With continued team work and encouragement from the coaching staff to keep passing the scoring continued with six more goals in the second period. Point markers were Cydney (2), Lauren (2), Ally (1) and Sadie (1). Assist credit goes to Claire (1), Josie (1), Cydeny (3), Ally (1), Shawni (1), Alia (2). Action continued into the third with three more markers for our busy score keepers. Claire scored (2), Saide (1), assisted by Cydney (2), Alia (2), Ally (1) and Josie (1).
This one might be hard to top as league play continues next week.
