McLaughlin Novice Rep play Sunday night match prior to Hawks game
After a week off, the McLaughlin Chrysler Mitchell Novice Rep took on the Kincardine Kinucks at home on Sunday evening.  In the team’s third contest against one another the team would fall short in a 4-3 loss.

Mitchell started things off half way through the first with Jared Vosper finding the net with an assist from Zachary Houben.  Thirty seconds later Kincardine would score to tie things back up.

In the second period Carson Harmer netted a rebound off of Vincent Voros’s shot to put Mitchell back on top.

Heading into the third with the game tied back up Mitchell’s Josh French flipped a fantastic shot past Kincardines net minder.

Meteors goalie Hayden Beuermann worked hard to try and keep Mitchell with the lead stopping multiple breakaway attempts by Kincardine.  Unfortunately Mitchell’s efforts were not enough as Kincardine scored to give them a late game tie, then finished with a power play goal with just 6 seconds left on the clock.

It was a tough loss for the boys, but a strong effort from start to finish.

Immediately following the game the Novice Reps very own Vincent Voros helped the Mitchell Hawks open their game by carrying the flag in the opening ceremonies.

The Novice Reps wont have much time to rest before travelling to Walkerton for a 7pm game on Monday.
