Atom AE Boys Hand North Middlesex Game #1
The boys just didn't come to play tonight and dropped game #1 to the North Middlesex Jr. Stars 3-1.
The boys played a slow first period and had a hard time clearing their end but managed to hold the Stars off the scoreboard ending the first period 0-0. The Stars were the first on the scoreboard with a second period goal on Mitchell's net minder Charlie Wood. A few minute later, the Meteors answered back with a goal by Kyle Eisler while Joey Adam and Drew Scherbarth earned the assists. It looked as though this would be the turning point of the game but the boys continued a slow, flat game and the period ended 1-1. The third period didn't get much better for Mitchell and the boys allowed North Middlesex to get two more goals and take the first game 3-1. This game was played drastically different than the semi finals where the boys skated hard, dug in the corners and took quick shots on net. I know we are better than this boys! Time to regroup and come out with the heart that the Mitchell Meteors are known for!! Go Meteors Go!
