Atom AE Boys Take First Game in Provincial Semi Finals
The boys hosted the Douro Dukes for game one of the Semi Finals and played an aggressive and emotional game.

After a long drive, the Dukes came to play and gave the Meteors quite a fight.  The first period action was end to end but neither team could get it to the net as the play was so evenly matched.  Mitchell's first goal wasn't until half way through the second period when Evan MacArthur rifled off a great shot that surprised the Duke's goal tender.  Sam Snyders earned the assist.  Greg Reidy made some big saves in net for Mitchell in the second and third periods.  With 51 seconds left in the period, Darren Feltz thrilled the crowd with his skill and patience not only getting by the defence, but making an incredible goal from a top shelf, spinning back hand shot that handcuffed the Duke's net minder and notched Mitchell's second goal of the game.  MacArthur and Tanner Meinen added assists.  Mitchell's final goal came with five minutes left in the game when Kyle Eisler picked up a nice pass from Joey Adam and tucked it under the goalie.  Drew Scherbarth also earned the assist.  The boys won the first game of this series 3-0 and will head to Peterborough for games two and three this weekend.  Great defensive play from Curtis Chaffe and Matthew Crawford assisted greatly in the win.  Although there was definitely room for improvement with many of the Meteors, it was a great game to watch and the Douro Dukes were a great match for Mitchell.   Great game boys!
