Mitchell won their 6th straight game in their round robin series beating BCH, Drayton and Arthur. The last three games were played over the past weekend.
Mitchell travelled to Clinton on Saturday and beat the BCH Ice Dogs with a score of 5-2 in a game riddled with penalties.
On Sunday night at home, Mitchell defeated the Arthur Vipers with a score of 4-3. Arthur held the lead into the third but Mitchell managed to tie it up and Evan Chaffe put in the game winner with only minutes remaining.
The final game was played in Arthur on Monday night with Tyler Meinen picking up the shut out, playing a solid game between the pipes. Chaffe scored in the first period with Martin Van Bakel and Jordon Eggleton picking up the assists. Brett Adair slapped in the second after evading a defender. Tyler Pauli netted the third with help from Jesse Kinsman and Josh Taylor and Taylor gave Joe McCarthy the perfect feed for the fourth goal.
The team travels to Chatsworth on Saturday for the final series.
