A couple of wins....
Midget Reps came away with a 7-4 win in Saugeen Shores this past weekend. Mitchell came out with an early lead scoring three in the first period. Goals provided by Loedwyk Koert, Joe McCarthy and Jesse Kinsman with assists by Sam Skinner, Brett Adair and Tyler Pauli. Saugeen answered back with four goals in the second frame. The Meteors were not done yet with another four goals scored in the third period. Koert scored his second of the night and added another assist. Martin Van Bakel, Pauli and Evan Chaffe also scored in the effort. Tempers flared in the third period with a number of penalties being awarded and game suspensions handed to Ben Davey and Sam Skinner.
On Sunday night, the team beat Goderich with a score of 3-2. Goderich scored the first two goals but Mitchell came back with a goal by Jesse Kinsman assisted by Tyler Pauli and Trevor Skinner in the second. In the third period, Loedwyk Koert scored from his knees with help from Jesse Kinsman and Josh Taylor to tie it up and Joe McCarthy sent a blistering shot into the corner of the net with assists by Jordan Mabb and Koert. Shots were 26-24 in favour of Mitchell. Goderich showed their frustration with numerous penalties. They apparently came with a tired bench as at least four players didn’t finish the game!
