Tough night in Blyth
Midget Rep Team travelled to Blyth on Monday night to come away with a 5-1 loss. The game was full of great chances in the third period but the team failed to capitalize on their opportunities. Questionable calls or lack thereof appeared to add to the loss. Joe McCarthy scored the lone Mitchell goal with an assist from Jordan Mabb on a defensive clearing in the first period. The boys had an excellent penalty kill also in the first period. Shots on goal were 35 to 23 in favour of Blyth. Ross Gethke suffered concussion-like symptoms after a crash into the boards. The team is awaiting the medical report on his condition.
