Mitchell Meteors Battle Hard to Keep Goderich Scoreless
The Novice Rep boys were back in action last night against the Goderich Sailors.  Great passing and a solid team effort carried Mitchell to a 4-0 win.

Scoring began early in the first period for Mitchell when Seth Huygen smoked the puck by the Goderich goaltender.  Nicholas Houben and Brett Poirier both assisted on the goal.  Later in the period, Connor MacLean snuck one past a sprawling net minder with Huygen getting the assist.  The first period ended with Mitchell up 2-0.  The second period was scoreless but exciting, non the less, as the Meteors dazzled the fans with amazing plays, great passing and solid defense as Goderich desperately tried to get on the scoreboard.  The third period opened with another goal for MacLean, this time assisted by Connor Lockhart.  Just seconds later, Houben got an unassisted goal to put Mitchell up by 4.  The game was certainly exciting for both teams and the boys should be proud of a job well done.
Great job Charlie Wood on another shutout!  Way to go Mitchell!
