Rollercoaster Weekend Feb. 18 & 19 followed by an Exceptional Win Feb. 25th.
The Snyders Graphics Novice Local League had a rollercoaster weekend.  On Saturday we hosted the Goderich Sailors.  Mitchell was not getting the bounces, and were defeated 2-1 in a nail biter till the end.  Mitchell’s only goal was scored by Seth Huygen with a bullet finding the top corner.

On Sunday in Monkton, Mitchell Snyders Graphics hosted Blyth/Brussels.  We started strong with a goal by Evan MacArthur half way through the first.  Blyth/Brussels responded minutes later and tied it up.  The game was tied going into the second.  With six seconds left in the second period, playing her position perfectly Erica Pletsch found a rebound and dieked the goalie for her first of the season.  Then only minutes into the third, Seth Huygen with a burst of speed stole the puck from the Blyth/Brussels defense and skated in for a hard wrist shot.  He stopped on a dime and buried his own rebound.  Synders Graphics fought hard the rest of the third with Austin Weir making some key saves for the 3-1 victory.

This past Saturday the Snyders Graphics Novice LL ventured out in the storm to show Blyth/Brussels that nothing could stop them.  The team was pumped and started the game off with a bang.  Only 51 seconds into the game Darren Feltz found the back of the net assisted by Sam Snyders.  With the defense playing an excellent game keeping the puck out of our end we fought off the Blyth/Brussels attacks.  Feltz and Snyders back to their old tricks got yet another one late in the second for the insurance.  The game was winding down as Vieanna Meinen finally came out of her shell and showed just how fast she can skate going coast to coast with a hard shot as Snyders hustled in for the rebound to put he icing on the cake.  The final was 3-0 with the shutout going to Austin Weir.
