The Novice LL Team had a 3 game sweep in Mount Forest this past Sunday.
The Snyders Graphics Novice LL were in Mount Forest on Sunday for a Fun Day Tournament. The team started the day off with a strong game against Ayr #1. The team was on their game winning 4-1 with two goals scored by Seth Huygen another by Evan MacArthur and Drew Scherbarth notching the fourth.
The second game only an hour later was against TCDMHA. This game was a little tougher but the Snyders Graphics’ kids found it in themselves to fight hard and were rewarded with a 4-2 victory. Goals were scored by Evan MacArthur, Seth Huygen, Darren Feltz, Vieanna Meinen and stellar goal tending by Austin Weir.
At five o’clock the final game was the hardest battle of the day taking on the Tavistock Titans. We were down two goals with six minutes left in the second. The kids needed a picker upper and Jaden Faulkner delivered with a sniper of a shot to put us within one. Then about two minutes into the third Huygen with an absolutely beautiful backhander just under the crossbar tied it up. With some new found energy the team was able to fend off Tavistock to take the game into over time. This was the first sudden death overtime the Snyders Graphics kids have seen all season, but it was short lived. Right off the faceoff Huygen was on another breakaway and made no mistake putting the puck in the top shelf for the tournament win.
