The Snyders Graphics Novice LL played the first of two games this weekend against BCH.
In BCH’s barn, the team was not themselves,
struggling to get anything going. We
fought hard until the end but couldn’t come out on top. The final was a 2-1 upset with Darren Feltz
finding the back of the net for the only goal and Austin Weir in net keeping it
close.
In our barn it was a different story. On Sunday the Snyders Graphics showed BCH just
how well they can play. P.J. Marshall
started the scoring of with a well placed shot only a minute and a half in to
the first to get the momentum going. It
wasn’t long and BCH tied it up half way through the first, but Feltz again rose
to the occasion and netted one with 14 seconds left in the first. The second period was a fast paced back and
forth period. BCH again tied the game up
with 26 seconds left in the second. The
third period is what these kids practiced for all season. The Snyders Graphics skated hard, with BCH
getting the go ahead goal with only 4:43 left, number 15 Drew Scherbarth knew
it was time to show everyone just how fast he is with a stellar goal to tie the
game up. Now with 3:33 seconds on the
clock a 3-3 tie in 3rd period. The team
knew that they needed to dig deep and fight hard, and they did. With :59 seconds left in the regular
time Feltz took off on a breakaway with
Evan MacArthur not far behind, Feltz weaving
in and out of the opposing defense took the shot and MacArthur was there for
the rebound and the game winner. Congratulations team on an excellent game.
