U-18 Girls Win WOGHL Division 2 Title
Brooklyn Boville scored in double overtime to give the GC Financial U-18 Girls a 2-1 win over South Huron to win the WOGHL Division 2 Championship.

On April 6 the U-18 "C" girls travelled to Zurich for the Day of Champions to take on the South Huron Sabres "B"
team in a one game final.
Andrea Kelly opened the scoring in this very closely matched game at 3:08 of the second period with assists going to Josie Walker and Jade Huygen.  The Sabres tied the game at 14:14 of the 3rd which led the way to some nail biting action the rest of the way.  With the score remaining 1-1 at the end of regulation, the game went to 5 minutes of sudden death, 5 on 5 overtime.  The first overtime period came and went with no scoring so then on to a period of 3 on 3.  Brooklyn Boville scored the game winner of this thrilling contest with 41 seconds left the give the Meteors the Championship.  Jade Huygen and Shawni DeJong tallied assists on the game winner.

Congratulations to all the girls and the Coaching Staff and best of luck this weekend as they travel to Toronto for  Provincials to defend their OWHA "C" title.
