Roy Caley Memorial Silver Stick
The Scotia Bank Mitchell Meteors played in the Roy Caley Memorial Silver Stick tournament over the weekend at the Watford Community Complex.

In game one versus the Lambeth Lancers, Ethan Jarmuth (assisted by Landon Van Bakel) would open the scoring at 6:58 of the first period.  Lambeth would eventually even the game at 12:44 of the third and then take the lead late at 2:20.  Then with 0:08 left on the clock Charlie Wolfe (assisted by Cohen Ahrens) would tie the game at 2 to take it to overtime.  In a 20:00min, 3 on 3, overtime tie breaker period, Ryan Glauser would make an end to end rush letting a hard shot go on net for Ethan Jarmuth to pick up the rebound to secure the win.  Aedan McCann would get the call in net making many great saves through this nail bitter.
In game two, Mitchell faced off against the Dorchester Dragons and would be down 1 to 0 after the first period.  At 8:01 of the second period, Ethan Jarmuth would tie the game up.  But after a hard fought 2 periods the Meteors would fall apart to allow 3 goals against in the last 1:30 of the game to lose 4 to 1.  Carter Miller would get the call in net for this game also playing very solid.
In the semi-finals on Saturday night Mitchell faced the unbeaten Ingersoll Express.  The Express would take a 1 to nothing lead at 1:44 of the first period and add two more in the second.  The third period would see the express add another goal until Ryan Klumper would let a rocket go from just inside the blue line.  Aedan McCann would get the call on this game and put on another solid performance.
