Game 13 vrs Wingham Ironmen
On Tuesday, December 13, 2022 the U15 Rep Scotia Bank Mitchell Meteors welcomed the division leading Wingham Ironmen to Mitchell. Wingham with a 9-1-1 record and fresh off a 5 to 1 win over the Mid-Huron Huskies came in on a hot streak.
The Meteor's came ready to play and put on a tremendous effort in this match with the Ironmen. In a tight battle from start to finish the Meteor's played one of their best games to date on the season. The Meteor's would have their first penalty free game, with plenty of shots on net and equal possession time with the puck. Despite this huge effort, two goals would find the back of Mitchell's net at 5:39 of the second and 13:59 of the third. Both goals were redirected shots from the point traveling through lots of traffic. Carter Miller would play a flawless game otherwise with many great saves throughout in the 2 to 0 loss.
Next up the Meteors head to Watford Thursday December 15 to take part in the Roy Caley Memorial Silverstick.
