The boys
travelled to Niagara region for the Wainfleet Wild tournament Friday, Jan. 31
to play the host team Wainfleet Wild #1.
Wainfleet proved to be a fast-skating, strong, back-checking team. We had our hands full. Wainfleet scored first and held the score at
1-0 until the third. Goalie Aedan McCann
stood on his head with shoots coming from all angles. Wainfleet put two more in before the end of
the third. Then on a powerplay Bradley
Dearing took the shut-out away from the Wild ending the game with 3-1 loss.

The winning streak has continued in January for the Mitchell
Legion PeeWee LL team. First up for 2020
was the BCH ice dogs January 4th.
Griffin Bree lit up the score
board first and would be Mitchell’s only goal until the third. BCH snuck two in
giving them a 2-1 lead to start the third.
But that would be it for the Ice Dogs because Mitchell came to play in
the third. With his scoring debut of the
season Brody Schoonderwoerd tied up the game and pulled the team ahead with
another. In the last 6 minutes of play Mitchell found the back of the net 4 more times with goals from D-men Matthew Menheere and Bradley Dearing, Bree added another and Zack Siemon-Hergott sealed the deal.

The Mitchell Legion Br. 128 PeeWee LL team fought hard but came up short in the Mitchell PeeWee tournament Nov 8-10. We first took to the ice on Friday night in Mitchell against East Gwillimbury team. They made it on the scoreboard first with Mitchell entering the 2nd down 1-0. The second period went almost scoreless but with less than 3 minutes left Bradley Dearing let one fly from the point from Callum Harris & Brody Schoonderwoerd. Going into the third tied-up 1-1, this was still anyone’s game. Mitchell would score first in the third to pull ahead on a nice tip in by Rogan Catalan from Griffin Bree & Lincoln Lorentz.

PeeWee LL has battled the orange and black to start their season. Oct 20th Mitchell hosted
Kincardine 2 for their home opener. Only
20 seconds in Kincardine scored and followed with another one 20 seconds
later. Goalie Aedan McCann stood on his
head stopping shot after shot from the tough Kincardine 2 squad. Going into the third things weren’t looking
good, the Kinucks had a 4-0 lead.
