Saugeen Shores Shorthanded Spectacular
The New Orleans PeeWee AE’s took to the road for an impressive road trip to Saugeen Shores on November 1st. The shortened bench put forth an true team effort against a powerful Saugeen team, coming home with a 3-1 win.
The scoring for Mitchell was provided in the first period with Charlie Wolfe ringing the bell for all 3 goals. Helpers came from Colby Ryan and Payton Wood. Goalie Keegan Menien made some dandy saves to keep his boys in the game, only allowing the one goal against with less than 2 minutes left in the third. Consistent pressure offensively, and rock solid defence, especially late in the game, was the key against a determined Saugeen team. Every player contributed to the W, whether on the score sheet or not. Special mention to injured player, Ryan Klumper, who joined the team on the road, showing great team commitment, not to forget the dedicated group of fans who braved the elements to make the trip north.
