Midgets Continue Their Winning Ways
Over the last couple of weeks, our Midget LL boys have played 5 more league games with a 5-1 record.

Riding the high from our exhibition game against Goderich, the following night Blyth Brussels came to town to mingle on the ice.  Right from the face off, we took control of the game and didn't  look back as our Meteors scored 4 in the opening period.  Tristan Beehler, Josh Duncan, Kurtis DeJong and Cole Wilton would all net one all in the first five minutes of the game.  Second and third period didn't  see as much scoring as the first but Cole Wilton and Tristan Beehler would each score their second of the game.  The game was over with us defeating the Crusaders 6-0.
Since the weekend the boys have played a bunch of games with a tough loss to Mt Forest #2, those Rams just out skated us and took control of the game handing our guys their first loss of the season 4-0.  With a couple nights off, we traveled to Arthur for our rematch against the Vipers.  Just minutes into the game, Eric Dearing skated down the ice to net the puck to get us on the board and it would stay 1-0 till the end of the period.  During the second period the Arthur goalie seemed to get off his game and we took full advantage  of that fact to net not one but five goals this period, after the end of the second Mitchell was leading 6-1.  With the "W" in our pocket  and still some great plays happening during the final period, Christian Simpson would earn the hat trick of the night scoring his third goal of the game and the boys once again victorious 7-1.  The last couple of games have been nail biters for the fans to watch as our games against Central Perth and Huron Bruce came right down to wire, too close as it was in the dying seconds of the games that Josh Duncan would fire the puck past their goalie to give us the wins.
The boys are gearing up for a great weekend of hockey at the regional Silver Stick tournament in Exeter this weekend.   Good luck boys!
