Novice Reps Even Up Championship Series
On Wednesday night Mitchell travelled to Kincardine for game 1 of the final round!
Unfortunately Mitchell couldn't take home the win and lost 5-0.
Game 2 was played Saturday afternoon with home ice in our favor.
The boys knowing what was on the line came out in full force, showing Kincardine they mean business with the first period ending scoreless.
Carson Lubbers lite up the scoreboard with a natural hat trick putting Mitchell ahead 3-0. Ray Wolfe and Owen Jarmuth drawing the assists. Logan Montgomery would add another one to Mitchell's score minutes later, with Max Brodhagen and Cam Dietz with the assists.
Seconds left in the second period Kincardine would get on the scoreboard with a deflected shot.
Starting the third period with a three goal lead Mitchell never backed down. With Kincardine on the push, every Mitchell player would shut their offense down with tight defense all around. Less than 2 minutes left in the game Tyler Burtenshaw with an empty net goal would finalize the score 5-1.
Goalie Bryson Eickmeyer had a solid game making it look easy out there!
Well done boys!!
Game 3 will be tomorrow (Sunday) at 5:45 in Mitchell. Come on out to cheer these boys to victory!!!!
