Novice Reps open round robin action with a 'W'
Opening round robin play against Saugeen Shores Sunday night on home ice, the Novice Reps took home a 3-1 victory.
Five minutes into the game Mitchell would light up the scoreboard with Carson Lubbers flying into the end zone and snipping one top shelf. With great plays and a hardworking team, Mitchell would end the first on top.
In second period action, Lubbers with a pass to Ray Wolfe who fed the puck to Owen Jarmuth at the point would put it away to advance Mitchell by 2. Moments later Saugeen Storm scored to make it a 2-1 game. The boys not giving up, making it look easy out there would once again put Mitchell on the scoreboard. Cam Dietz with the goal assisted by Lukas Dejong. Ending the second with a 3-1 score.
In third period action Mitchell continued to push hard and every single one of the boys held there own. It paid off as the back and forth game ended a 3-1 win for the boys!
The Novice Reps travel to Saugeen Wednesday night @ 7:15 for game 2.
