The McLaughlins Auto Wholesailing Novice Reps won back to back games last Wednesday and Thursday night.
Wednesday nights game against visiting team St. Marys ended a 9-3 win for the boys. Opening the scoring was done by Carson Lubbers who added the first 2 goals of the game assisted by Cam Dietz.
Starting the second period Lubbers adds another one to the board assisted by Ray Wolfe and Tyler Burtenshaw to make it 3-0 Mitchell. Shortly after St. Marys sneaks one by Mitchell's goalie Bryson Eickmeyer to put them on the board to make it 3-1.
Cole Templeman and Lubbers go on to find the back of the net for Mitchell making it 5-1. Drawing assists were Owen Jarmuth, Logan Montgomery, Burtenshaw, and Wolfe. Ending the second period with a 5-1 lead.
Into the third period Lubbers adds a quick one making it 6-1 but St. Marys adds two goals shortly after making it a 6-3 game. Three back to back goals for Mitchell from Burtenshaw, Dietz, and Wolfe, with assists from Wolfe, Montgomery, Lubbers, and Burtenshaw help Mitchell stay ahead and capture the 9-3 victory!!
In action Thursdsy night Mitchell travelled to Clinton to take on BCH. Mitchell came out strong and held their own to capture an 8-1 win. All the boys contributed to this big win and all played amazing. Job well done.
