Meteors shot down Falcons
In action Saturday night the McLaughlins Auto Wholesailing Novice Reps came out strong and marked the first point on the scoreboard in the first period by Carson Lubbers assisted by Cole Templeman.

Hanover would then come back to match the point with less than two minutes remaining in the first period.
The Meteors keep the pressure on in the second period with defense keeping the puck out of our end.
Ten seconds into the period Ray Wolfe found Lubbers who weaved his way down the ice with a beautiful top shelf shot.
Mitchell would contiune to add points to the scoreboard.  Cole Templeman was in perfect position to take advantage of a rebound to put it in the back of the net to give Mitchell a 3-1 lead. Fowards had amazing passes setting eachother up which helped Lubbers go end to end only to find the back of the net.  Ending the second period with a score of 4-3 Mitchell.
Into the third, Hanover tied it up 4-4 with a deflection shot.
Mitchell wasn't letting that stop them.  The boys worked so hard and their determination paid off when Cam Dietz broke the tie with a top corner goal.  Minutes later Max Brodhagen found the pass from  Sean Gibbings and put it away.  Right away Dietz rushed the puck up the outside and snuck one past the goaltender for a 7-4 lead.  Just over two minutes left in the third Hanover scored to make it a final score of 7-5 Mitchell.

The locals have some time off and are back in action December 19 @ 7pm in Mitchell to face the St Marys Rock.
