The MCR Advanced Collision Center Atom LL's continued their winning ways this weekend with victories over Seaforth and BCH.
Saturday night the Meteors went into Seaforth for a battle against the Stars. Grayson Yost led the offense with two goals. Sam Huettlin and Brandon Dietrich also scored for Mitchell. Dietrich also picked up an assist in the game. Other assists went to Bradley Dearing, Jeromy Vandewalle and Bentley Phillips. Goalie Keagan Meinen was tested but only allowed one goal and the Meteors would take the game 4-1.
On Sunday Mitchell hosted BCH in Monkton and came away with a commanding 5-0 win! The first goal was chipped in by Brandon Dietrich. Grayson Yost and Jack Van Loon assisted on the goal. Payton Wood scored next on the rebound, assisted by Sam Huettlin. Still in the opening period, Brandon Dietrich would beat the diving goaltender to put the Meteors up by three. Ethan Dearing drew an assist on the goal. No scoring in the second frame but the home team would add a couple more goals in the third. After a shot by Wade Campbell bounced off the goalie, Huettlin would bury it. Then, Jacob Dietrich would score after a scramble in front of the net. Wade Campbell would get his second assist on the goal. Keagan Meinen made some nice saves on the way to another shutout.
