Super Mario contributes to Atom LL offense
Mitchell MCR Atom LL team hosted Blyth-Brussels Sunday night for a league game in Monkton.

It only took 1:52 for Sammy Huettlin to find the back of the net assisted by Wade Campbell.   Four minutes later Sammy would beat the opposing goalie on a surprise shot from behind the net.  Goaltender Keagan Meinen would find himself very busy in net having to be called on many times saving several breakaways.  After the first period the home team would have a 2-1 lead.  29 seconds into the second period Grayson Yost would find the back of the net to restore a 2 goal lead again.  5 minutes later Huettlin would be able to complete his hat trick, by being able to walk in alone and have a chance to show us his best "Super Mario" deke move after he was telling about watching some old Mario Lemieux tapes earlier in the weekend.  Blyth Brussels would get a break late in the second to make it a 4-2 game heading into the final period.  Only 3 minutes into the third Jacob Dietrich would score a beauty with assists coming from his brother Brandon and Huettlin.  Just two minutes later Payton Wood would get his first of two in the period with the next coming short handed on a breakaway goal beating the goalie five hole, with both coming unassisted.   Then with just under a minute remaining in the game defenseman Ethan Dearing would notch his first of the season with an absolute bullet from the point with Bentley Phillips getting the assist on the play.  In the end the locals lads would skate away with an 8-2 victory.
