Novice Reps move past Goderich to next round
The McLaughlin Auto Wholesaling Novice Reps swept Goderich in their first round WOAA playoff series with a 7-3 road victory on Feb 23rd. Next up for the locals is a round-robin series with Kincardine (first round winner over BCH) and the winner of Saugeen Shores vs Hanover that will be decided this weekend.
Mitchell took a 2-0 lead into the second period and temporarily went to sleep, allowing 3 unanswered goals to lose the lead for a couple of minutes before tying it up going into the final frame. Four goals in the third period sealed the victory.
Jordan Visneskie led the Meteors with 5 goals, with singles scored by Ryan Hubbard and Zach Houben. Colby Ryan led with 2 assists, while Charlie Geiger, Jack Miller, Joel Meinen, and Kellen Russwurm all were awarded single helpers.
