DAUM EARNS SHUTOUT AT OPENING PLAYOFF GAME
The Lockhart Funeral Home Pee Wee LL team met up with the Wingham Ironmen in their barn on Sunday, February 15th to commence their playoff series.

Carter YOST wasted no time as he scored the first goal of the night just 31 seconds into the first period. Kole HUNT assisted with this goal. Play continued, but it wasn’t until there was just a minute and 35 seconds left on the clock in the third period that Mitchell scored their second goal and really put the pressure on Wingham. Cole WILTON scored that goal with the assistance of YOST and Ryker VANDENBROEK. Wingham was determined to score, so with less than two minutes to go they pulled their goalie to give them the 6 on 5 advantage. YOST was unfazed by this move and with just 34 seconds before the final buzzer iced the puck right into their empty net. Assisting was WILTON and Jackson THORPE. The buzzer sounded and the team skated away with a 3 to 0 win. Stevie DAUM had a hot glove all night keeping the rebounds at bay and earning him the shutout!

Great work boys! Game two is Wednesday, February 18th at 6:00 pm in Blyth.
