PEE WEES END 2014 WITH A SOLID GAME
The Lockhart Funeral Home Pee Wee LL team played in unified fashion in Seaforth's barn against the stacked Seaforth Stars on Monday, December 29th.
The boys knew this was going to be a tough game, especially if number 2 came out to play, but our Mitchell boys were on their game and played hard to keep the match at a tie at the end of the first period.
Seaforth felt the heat so, in the second period, they stepped it up a notch and scored three goals to end the period with a 3 to 0 win for them.
A brief pep talk in the dressing room, while the zamboni did its work, was all these boys needed to close the gap a little in the third. Reilly MURRAY dumped the puck into his opponents net with the help of linemates Carter YOST and Jesse JUBINVILLE. The boys continued to work their magic and get in position for the plays they discussed earlier which is why they were able to keep the score against this powerful team so close. Seaforth did manage to score one last disappointing goal against us in the last 6 seconds to finish the game 4 to 1 for them.
Amazing effort and teamwork, by all the Mitchell boys, was displayed during this game. Next, they will play in the Dairy Queen Challenge Cup tournament in Exeter from January 2 to 4.
