Mitchell Peewee AE’s have tough weekend in St.Marys.
Game 1 - St.Marys 5 Mitchell 1
Mitchell scored the first goal of the game, as Ben small scored from Jake Monden. Mitchell would play a solid first 2 periods but struggled in the 3rd as the host team from St.Marys broke open the 1-1 tie with 4 goals.
Game 2 - Mitchell 3 Ilderton 3
Mitchell again played a solid 2 periods and led 3-1 mid way through the 3rd but 2 late goals allowed Ilderton to tie the game at 3. Brendan Boville led the attack with 2 goals, while Tristan Beehler scored the other. Assists went to Kurtis Forrest with 2, Zach McPhee, David Rowland, and Karsen Eisler with the other. James Copeland had a solid game in net.
Game 3 - Paris 2 Mitchell 0
Needing a win to advance, Mitchell played their best game of the tournament, but hard luck around the net and some untimely penalties hurt the local squad. Paris scored 2 early first period goals and hung on for the victory. After a tough start, James Vink played well in net.
In a league contest, the locals traveled to Drayton and played a very good squad and fell 5-1. Brendan Boville scored the only goal. James Copeland played very well in net.
