O/T Win for Novice LL!
The Mitchell Meteors Novice LL squad kept their playoff win streak alive with an overtime goal scored by Braydon Glauser.
Mitchell dominated the play for the first two periods of the game keeping Goderich off the board until the third period. Sam Huettlin opened the scoring for the Meteors with an assist going to Owen McKenzie. In the second period Grayson Yost poked the puck in the net after a lot of action in front the Goderich goalie, assisted by Noah Mann and Brayden Glauser. Just 25 seconds later Sam Huettlin and Brayden Glauser would pass the puck up the ice taking a shot on net, it would be stopped by the Goderich goalie, but Noah Mann was there to knock the rebound to the back of the net.
In the third period Goderich gathered some momentum after an early goal and managed to get two more late in the game to send the teams into overtime play.
With fans on the edge of their seats, and both teams defense working extra hard to keep the puck out of their end, Mitchell's Logan Nugent managed to get the puck up to Brayden Glauser. Deep in the Goderich end Glauser put it past the goalie getting the win for Mitchell and keeping their undefeated playoff run alive.
