Novice LL Record Second Straight Playoff Shutout
The Mitchell Novice LL squad came away with a hard fought 1-0 win over BCH on Sunday night in Seaforth. The win was the second consecutive shutout for the team this weekend. The victory also leaves the Meteors undefeated in the round robin playoffs at 3-0. Brennen Vanderkuylen continued his strong play as he once again recorded the shutout.
The game was scoreless after the second period as both goalies kept the puck out of their nets. Brayden Glauser then got the only goal of the game as he beat the BCH goalie over the glove as he converted a pass from Sam Huettlin with four minutes remaining in the game. Shortly after the Glauser goal, Vanderkuylen made a key save on a BCH breakaway to preserve the Mitchell win.
