Win And A Tie Weekend Play For Novice LL
The Novice LL Caravan Kids played two games on the road this weekend and with strong play were rewarded with a win against Clinton and a tie against Goderich.

In Clinton, the Novice Meteors came out strong and played hard for the entire 3 periods. Sam Huetlin would open scoring for the Meteors with an unassisted goal in the first period, the only goal to be scored in this period filled with end to end action. In the second period Brayden Glauser would also score an unassisted goal. Clinton answered by getting their first and only goal minutes later.

Logan Ruby would round out the scoring for the Meteors in the third period, with a pass from Logan Nugent to give Mitchell a two goal lead over the home team. Goalie Brandon Dietrich stood tall in the net turning away multiple scoring chances for Clinton.

On Sunday the Novice LL Caravan Kids traveled to Goderich to play the Sailors 2 team. The Sailors would get two quick goals in the first period, but Mitchell did not let them take control for long and battled hard in the corners for the puck. Goderich would net a third goal just seconds into the second period of play, but Jack Steinbach answered with an unassisted goal to get Mitchell on the board. At the beginning of the third period the score was 4-1 for Goderich, but a determined Meteors squad took control and changed the momentum of the game, scoring three times in the third period. Jake Crowley would make a pass to Brayden Glauser who managed to get one past the second Goderich goalie of the game. Owen McKenzie would be the next Meteor to put one in the net for Mitchell. With fans on the edge of their seats, Jack Steinback would score his second of the game to tie the score at 4-4. With just over two minutes left in the game Mitchell Meteors would fight hard for control of the puck in an exciting and well fought game, but in the end the score would remain tied at 4.
