The Novice LL Dodge Caravan Kids started the game off strong with 3 quick goals in the first 3 minutes. Brayden Glauser opened the scoring with a shot to the top shelf, assisted by Ethan Dearing and Logan Nugent. Glauser again found himself in front of the net and scored another with assists from Sam Heuttlin and Brandon Dietrich. Logan Nugent scored the 3rd quick goal with passes from Jack Steinbach and Dearing. However, the Blyth Brussels Burgandy team didn’t give up and came back strong, scoring 3 straight goals to tie the game at 3 by the end of the first period.
In the second period, Mitchell regrouped and started playing the way they started the game. Logan Nugent scored his second of the game with assists from Glauser and Liam Brodhagen. Glauser then completed his hat trick with a great pass from Logan Ruby.
In the 3rd period the boys were getting tired as they saw a lot of ice time with a short bench today. But that didn’t stop them from playing hard. Their hard work paid off as Heuttlin scored assisted by Glauser and Brodhagen. Glauser finished the game with 5 points, Nugent with 3 and Heuttlin, Dearing and Brodhagen all with 2 points each.
Brennen Vanderkuylen was solid in net throughout the game and shut the door for the 2nd and 3rd periods.
