Weekend Play for Novice LL
On Saturday the Novice LL's travelled to Brussels to play, but were not able to get any points on the board in an evenly matched and well played game. Blyth-Brussels would defeat the Meteors 2-0 in a hard fought battle. Mitchell managed to get many shots on net, but unfortunately could not put one past the opposing team's strong goaltender.
Sunday's game would see Mitchell on the winning end posting a 4-0 shut-out win against Ripley. Another well played match saw the first period go by with end to end action, but no scoring.
Mitchell got on the board quickly in the second period as Brayden Glauser scored with an assist from Logan Ruby. Minutes later, Glauser would pass to Jack Steinbach who put the puck past the Ripley goaltender. In third period scoring Jake Crowley would be assisted by Jaxen Hartwig and Sam Huettlin to get a bouncing puck into the net for the Meteors. Mitchell's final goal for the game was put in by Brandon Dietrich with an assist going to Liam Brodhagen.
