Regular Season Update
The Pee Wee Local League team has had a good start to their season.
Our first couple of regular season games were away games. The first one was held on Oct 20/12 at Lucknow. The team played hard and came out on top with a 2-0 win. Goals scored by Damon K. and assisted by Jake M. in the 2nd period and Wyatt C. adding an empty net goal in the 3rd. Solid goaltending by both James C. and Connor L.
Our next game was Sunday Oct 21/12 at Zurich. The boys started well and found themselves tied after the 1st period. Goal scored by Eric D., assisted by Tristen B. Going into the third period we found ourselves down by one but the team kept working and tied the game on a goal scored by Tristen B., assisted by Eric D. The game ended in a 2-2 tie.
Our first home game was against Monkton on Oct 28/12. It was a tough game for the whole team. Giving us our first loss of the season 5-2. Goals scored by Eric D., assisted by Ezekial K. in the 1st period and scoring again was Eric D., assisted by Ezekial K. and Desmond F. in the 3rd.
The team headed to Ripley on Oct 29/12 for another regular season game. The team played hard and was tied at 0 after the 1st period. Both teams battled during the 2nd period and we were leading 2-1 after the 2nd. Goals scored by Ezekial K., assisted by Anthony B. and Noah P. and Anthony B., assisted by Ezekial K. and Nate B. In the 3rd period Ripley came back and tied it 2-2 but the team worked hard and Eric D. assisted by Ezekial K. found the net again for a 3-2 lead. Ripley then came back in the last minutes of the game to give us a tie game 3-3. This was the best game the whole team played so far this season. The team is playing in the Walkerton Local League tournament this Sunday Nov 4/12 with our first game at 9am against Walkerton LL 1.
