The boys maintained the momentum they have built from three straight exhibition wins by blanking visiting Listowel 3-0 on Sunday night.
With just over two minutes to go in the first frame Kurtis Eisler busted loose on a breakaway making it 1-0 Mitchell. In the top half of the second period Nic Baker made it 2-0 with Jacob Laing assisting. Curtis Lockhart added further insurance a minute and a half later with help from Andrew Feltz and Steven Bird.
A very solid blue line staff combined with shared shutout duties for the second time in four games by Aaron McNeil and Tanner Knechtel with scoring by all three forward lines served up a total team effort.
Great way to start the season boys!
