As the calendar year turns and the cold weather tries to take hold it, it is hard to believe we are setting our sights on playoffs already.
In fact the boys have already opened up WOAA league round robin play a week ago versus Monkton (Elma-Logan)with a 2-1 victory. They await a return visit to Monkton and a still yet to be scheduled home and home with Goderich. The remainder of the round robin games are delayed as Goderich is focused on first round OMHA play with Listowel. The local boys are watching that series closely as they have been rewarded from finishing first in league play amongst the AE teams and received the ‘bye’ in the OMHA play downs and await the winner of the Goderich / Listowel series.
Running simultaneously to OMHA the WOAA round robin winner of Pool A between Mitchell, Monkton & Goderich will play the eventual winner of pool B for the Neilson Championship. (See the quick link to the left or click here WOAA Round Robin Playoffs).
The coaches are working hard….canvassing many other teams to try and drum up exhibition games to challenge the boys and keep them active and sharp while waiting for playoff action to begin.
In the mean time the boys are working hard at practice and pushing themselves to practice at game intensity. The coaches are working to keep everything upbeat and different. Let’s enjoy the ride!

It’s not necessarily the amount of time you spend at practice that counts; it’s what you put into the practice.
