U11 Rep Boys Road and Home Bound
McDonald's Valumart U11 Rep Boys hit the road and host home games with less than desirable results, 2 Road losses and 1 home loss.
U11 Rep boys first travelled to Walkerton to take on the division leader, the Walkerton Capitals. A lone goal from Myles 'Magic Stick' Havens was only enough to take away the Caps goaltender's shut out. Walkerton 'walked over' the Meteors by a score of 5 to 1.
Second game had the boys hosting the Wingham Ironmen at home. The game started with the boys slightly asleep at the wheel; 3 quick goals gave Wingham the lead in the first, Mitchells first goal was a power play goal with 24 seconds left in the period; Keaton 'Bruce' Weesjes up to Remy 'Steel' Ryan lead pass to Owen 'Crash' Dietrich to close the period 3 to 1. Third period saw a sweet passing play from Bryce 'Bird Jr. Burdett to Landon 'Lose Yourself' Bennewies over to Myles 'Magic Stick' Havens for his first of the match. With 3 minutes left in the game, Bruce set up Magic who then broke a couple ankles deeking the goalie and both defenders for his second and final Mitchell goal of the game. Meteors are extinguished at a score of 5 to 3.
Last road game took the Meteors up to Saugeen shores, a valiant attempt to silence the Saugeen Shores Storm, the boys were only able to net 1 passed the Storm netminder late in the third period. Mitchell loses this road game 2 to 1.
