OMHA Game #2 in Kincardine
The Larry Hudson Mitchell Midget Reps traveled to Kincardine this past weekend where the Kincardine Kinucks would host the boys for an OMHA playoff double header, playing games 2 and 3 at the Davidson Centre. With the host's up a game in the series, Mitchell will need to win a game this weekend or get their golf clubs out
The Kincardine Kinucks are a package, skilled, disciplined and big, which certainly helped them go undefeated in league play this season. The late Saturday afternoon game started poorly and just got worse for Mitchell, with Kincardine scoring just 32 seconds into the game. At the end of the first it was 2-0. Seconds into the second, the insurance goal came making it 3-0. Onto the third, Mitchell goes on the PP, pulls their goalie Ryan Bell for the extra attacker, and we find ourselves down 4-0 just six seconds later. Later in the third, with a 6 on 3 man advantage, another empty netter will finish game two at 5-0.
Kincardine Kinucks take a two game advantage in the series. Let’s hope something changes for Sundays game at 1:15pm.
