The JP Uniac Peewee B Girls
The girls travelled to London Saturday to play London for the second time this year. The first game was a 2-1 win back in October.
The first period saw both teams get power play opportunities but our defence lines made up of Heather Ogilvie, Jordyn Crawford, Hayden Uniac, Alexis Gettler and Aubrey Vosper were on their A game this morning not letting London get many shots on net. The first period went scoreless.
Early in the second Brooklyn Boville took a shot on net with a pass from Claire McCorkindale, Andrea Kelly was right for the rebound, when the puck came loose from the goalie who was on the ground Kelly tipped the puck up and over the goalie.
With jut under five minutes left in the third Josephine Jarmuth found the puck right in the middle of the zone and took a hard shot for a top shelf goal to get us one more. That would be enough as the clock counted down and Mitchell got a 2-0 victory.
Kora Smith was once again solid in net recording another shut out.
It was a great game girls.
