The JP Uniac Insurance Peewee B girls vs Cambridge
The Mitchell Meteor Peewee B Girls played Cambridge for the second time in this tournament.
The first power play went in favour of Cambridge late in the first. That carried over to the second and early in the second they took advantage of their opportunity and got on the score board first.
The first period was good end to end puck action with Kora Smith standing her ground in net. Aubrey Vosper, Alexis Gettler, Hayden Uniac, Jordyn Crawford and Heather Orgivile not too far protecting Smith as much as they could.
Tables turned half way through the second and Mitchell had the man/women advantage but couldn't get one in. It wasn't far a lack of effort. Danielle Harmer, Josephine Jarmuth, Andrea Kelly, Margaret McCarthy, Claire McCorkindale and Brooklyn Boville all had shots on net but couldn't get it past the Cambridge tall goalie.
Once again late in the second Cambridge had the power play and scored again, and again a few seconds later. Mitchell power through the third trying to get on the board but just couldn't. 0-3 final.
Better luck this afternoon as the girls continue with their regular season action in Monkton against Ilderton.
