The JP Uniac Insurance Peewee B Girls
The girls played in Monkton this afternoon against the London Devilettes. First time this season.
The first period the girls started off really strong. The didn't score till half way through the first. Brooklyn Boville got the first goal assisted by Claire McCorkindale.
London tied it up early in the second. Mitchell had two power plays but were unable to capitalize on them.
The third period saw lots of shots on net from both teams. Kora Smith was solid in net. With just over 4 mins left in the period Danielle Harmer had an awesome deek the goalie break away. With London right on her heels she got what we soon discovered would be the game winner. Alexis Gettler, Aubrey Vosper, Heather Ogilvie, Hayden Uniac and Jordyn Crawford all stood out holding the blue-line in the last 4 minutes to hang on to the one goal lead and lead us to a 2-1 win.
