Atom Girls Battle Stratford to 1-1 Tie In Playdowns
The Van Gerwen Sun Life Meteor Atom Girls hosted the Stratford Aces 'C' team on March 1st in the continued battle to qualify for Provincials in Toronto in April.
After a scoreless opening period, Ava Harmer struck first for the locals backhanding a high shot over the goalie's shoulder. Stratford would bounce back quickly and tie the game three minutes later, and the teams would play scoreless hockey again in the final period to end in a 1-1 tie.
