Templeman, Van Bakel Score In Shutout of Huron Heat
The Van Gerwen Sun Life Meteor Atom Girls hosted the Huron Heat on March 16th in a WOGHL Playoff game, blanking them 2-0.
After two scoreless periods of hockey, Haileigh Templeman put the Meteors on the board by knocking in a rebound from a shot by Abigayle Van Bakel. Van Bakel would then score later in the period, banging in a loose puck assisted by Leah Kelly.
The girls host the Waterloo Ravens in Mitchell tomorrow at 5:45pm in the last WOGHL round robin playoff game, and then look forward to preparing for the OWHA Provincials in Toronto on April 5-7th.
