The Van Gerwen Sun Life Financial Meteor Atom Girls traveled to Waterloo on January 27th riding a hot 5-game win streak in WOGHL league play, but were cooled off 2-1 by the host Ravens. The girls had outscored their opponents 23-2 leading up to the game, also featuring three shutouts.
In a tight-checking matchup, Waterloo led 2-0 after two periods. Mitchell finally hit the scoreboard midway through the final frame as Zoey Michel continued her hot scoring pace by knocking in a rebound from a Rylee Kipfer shot. Waterloo returns to Mitchell to face the Meteors again on February 2.
