Atom Girls Earn First League Home Win
The Paul Van Gerwen Sunlife Meteor Atom Girls hosted Wallaceburg on October 6th, shutting out their visitors by a score of 7-0 to earn their first league win on home ice and improving to 1-1 on the season.
Abigayle Van Bakel, Camryn Medhurst, and Tegan Mace each scored a pair of goals, and Ava Harmer chipped in with a single marker. Recording assists were Zoey Michel and and Leah Kelly each with two, and singles awarded to Harmer, Medhurst, and Alayna McKay. Alissa Insley earned the shutout in net, and the defense of Grace Bach, Rylee Kipfer, Macie Russwurm, and Addy Wolfe were strong on the blueline to help limit the scoring chances.
