Scotia Bank Bantam AE earn a win in Listowel
On Saturday, December 3, 2016 the Mitchell Scotia Bank AE Bantam team travelled to Listowel to play their Bantam AE team, the Listowel Cyclones.
The boys played their most physical game to date, which was perfect for the call up Carter Yost, who added a fantastic dynamic to our team with his physical presence. A shake up of the lines seemed to work well for the boys too. The scoring started with Josh Edit in the first, who after receiving a pass from Darren Feltz was able to bury the puck in the home teams net, ending the first period with Mitchell leading 1-0. The boys continued their physical dominance in the second. Next to score was Joey Hill, netting his first of the year while playing forward for the first time since Novice. The boys were not finished yet with their scoring, and Sam Snyders netting the last goal after Darren Feltz earned his second assist of the evening. Bradley Boville was on course for the shut out with his stellar effort, but the Cyclones were not having any part of it, and were able to sneak one past him late in the third, ending the scoring of the game, with Mitchell leading 3-1. I think the boys are coming out of their shell and are starting to show the skill these boys are capable of and that they have the ability to play as a team.
