Lucknow road trip
Best Game of the Season...so far

On Monday night the Mitchell Scotia Bank Bantam AE team travelled to Lucknow with what had to be their best game of the season. Although the end result was a tie, there were lots of great chances at either end of the ice for both teams, with Mitchell out playing Lucknow throughout the game. Mitchell’s Mark Knill started the scoring frenzy early in the first after receiving a tape to tape pass from  Carter Prescator.  Mark let loose what could only be described as a “canon” from the blue line and the Lucknow goalie only saw it as it passed her on the way to the back of her net. Scoring next in the first period was Josh Edit who received a pass from Karsen Eisler.  Unfortunately,  Lucknow were not about to give up the battle and managed to score three times in the first, making the score 3-2 at the end of one.  Mitchell came out on fire in the second, netting another two goals early in the period. Mark Knill sent another blistering shot to the back of the opponents net making it 3-3.  Jackson Thorpe gained possession of the puck and shot it from the point, yes I said  from the point, where Kyle Eisler, who just happened to be in front of the net, yes in front of the net, where good things can and usually do happen, got the rebound and buried the puck making it 4-3 for Mitchell.  Lucknow was able to capitalize once more before the game ended, tying the score 4-4 at the buzzer. Over all, I thought it was the best effort demonstrated from the boys in a while, long while, hoping it will continue!  Next game Thursday Dec 1 in Mitchell@7pm.
