The pace in the first and half of the second was fast and furious, with great end to end action. Personally, I think some of the best hockey the year, unfortunately the boys were unable to keep the pace and Lucknow started to capitalize on it winning the game 6-3 when the dust had settled.
Lucknow started the scoring in the first, but Mitchell was quickly able to tie it on the lone effort of Solomon Koert shortly after ending the first 15 minutes of play at one a piece. Mitchell’s wheels started to slow down in the second, with Mitchell only scoring one by Darren Feltz assisted by Carter Prescator and Sam Snyders and Lucknow scoring three more times. The third also saw Lucknow out score Mitchell 2 to 1, with Mitchell’s lone goal coming from Feltz again assist by Snyders and finalizing the score at 6-3.
Although the boys lost, the first period saw the boys move the puck well and skate with speed.
