Tyke 2, 2016-2017 (Mitchell Minor Hockey)

On Saturday, Feb. 18 the Tyke 2 Walkom's Valu-mart team travelled to St. Marys. They captured an 11-3 win over The Rock. In this high scoring game Ray Wolfe, Cameron Dietz and Carson Lubbers all got hat tricks with another 2 goals coming from Lukas Dejong. Max Brodhagen did an outstanding job in net with help from teammates Luke Krempien, Sean Gibbings and Brayden Baxter. Forwards Logan Montgomery, Dylan Dietrich and Adam Hunt were aggressive with getting the puck and worked hard to pass to their teammates. Keep up the hard work Meteors!

The Walkom's Valu-Mart Tyke 2 Meteors defeated the Wallace Sabres on Saturday afternoon. With the full team present, the boys started putting into play what they have been working on at practise...shooting at the net and passing the puck. Their coaches were happy to see them working together as a team!

The Walkom's Valu Mart Tyke 2 team traveled to St. Mary's on Saturday, Jan. 14. Goals from Carson Lubbers, Adam Hunt and Cameron Dietz brought the score to 8-2 for Mitchell. Ray Wolfe did a great job in net making several saves. Strong effort and teamwork was noted by Brayden Baxter, Luke Krempien and Dylan Dietrich. The team did a great job and had many shots on net! Keep up the hard work and good luck next weekend in the Bayfield tournament.

On Saturday, Dec. 10 the Walkom's Valu-Mart Tyke 2 team played a great game against the St. Mary's Rock. Their strong defence from Logan Montgomery, Dylan Dietrich, Max Brodhagen and Cameron Dietz helped the Tyke's overtake the Rock 7-5. The boys came out strong with Adam Hunt getting a break away early in the game to capture the first goal, followed by two goals from Sean Gibbings, a hat trick from Carson Lubber's and a goal from Logan Montgomery to secure the win! All players put forth a great effort! Keep up the hard work at practise! 

The Walkom's Valu-Mart Tyke 2 team captured their first win on home ice thanks to a strong team effort! They overtook the Seaforth Stars 4-1 on Sunday. An early unassisted goal by Lukas DeJong set the team up for a great start followed by a goal from Carson Lubbers. In the third period, Lubber's was able to score again as did Adam Hunt with only seven seconds remaining! The Stars took many shots on net but goal tender Nolan Rolph played a great game and stopped most pucks. Good luck at your next game on December 3!
